Best Parks of Southern Africa Itinerary
Day One – Friday – Johannesburg
Departure for South Africa with an international scheduled flight. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day Tw0 – Saturday – Johannesburg
Arrive in Johannesburg and transfer to the hotel’s shuttle to the nearby Metcourt Hotel. Once settled in your luggage you will have time to explore this small but interesting, “Las Vegas” of South Africa. Overnight.
Day Three – Sunday – Johannesburg / Harrismith
Breakfast. The morning is dedicated to shopping at the nearby Eastgate Mall. In the afternoon, transfer by road to Harrismith. Accommodation in La La Nathi. Dinner and overnight.
Day Four – Monday – Harrismith / Durban
Breakfast and transfer by road to the historic Balmoral Hotel, a national monument, beautifully situated on the Durban beachfront. In the afternoon you can visit the interesting uShaka Marine World. Overnight.
Day Five – Tuesday – Durban / St Lucia
Breakfast and departure to the Shakaland Cultural Village, just a few kilometers from Eshowe. Traditional dining and entertainment of tribal dances.
Afternoon drive to St Lucia, a place of global interest. Overnight at the Elephant Lake Hotel or similar.
Day Six – Wednesday – St Lucia
Breakfast. The morning will be dedicated to the exploration of the Cape Vidal Nature Reserve and his wonderful beach. In the afternoon you will enjoy a boat trip on the famous lagoon of St Lucia, where it is still possible to spot hippos and crocodiles. Overnight.
Day Seven – Thursday – St Lucia / Pongola
Breakfast. Visit the Hluhluwe National Park. Dinner and overnight in Pongola Private Game Reserve.
Day Eight – Friday – Pongola / Swaziland
Breakfast and departure to the nearby Kingdom of Swaziland where part in an exciting photo safari in off-road vehicle found in the Natural Reserve Mkhaya. Dinner and overnight at Mountain Inn in Mbabane.
Day Ten – Sunday – Kruger / Phalaborwa
Breakfast and transfer to the historic village of Pilgrim’s Rest, a national monument. Visit the village followed by a tasty snack of traditional “pancakes.” In the afternoon transfer to Phalaborwa, visiting along the way the interesting Bourke’s Luck Potholes and some sights along the “Panorama Route”. Accommodation in exclusive private villa Hans Merensky Hotel & Golf Estate. Dinner and overnight.
Day Eleven – Monday – Phalaborwa
Breakfast and guided tour of the northern part of the Kruger National Park. Picnic in the Park. Back to Phalaborwa in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight.
Day Twelve – Tuesday – Phalaborwa
Breakfast. Morning at leisure for optional activities.
In the early afternoon you will participate in an interesting cruise on the Olifants river, full of hippos and crocodiles. Dinner and overnight.
Day Thirteen – Wednesday – Phalaborwa
Breakfast and guided tour of the central part of the Kruger National Park. Picnic in the Park. Back to Phalaborwa in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at the villa.
Day Fourteen – Thursday – Phalaborwa / Edeni
Breakfast and transfer by road to the Kapama Game Reserve – Luxury Safari Game Lodge. After lunch, take part in an exciting safari in open terrain vehicle. Dinner and overnight at the Lodge.
Day Fifteen – Friday – Reserve Edeni
Photo safari in the early morning. Breakfast and free time before lunch. In the afternoon you will participate in a second photographic safari in open terrain vehicle. Dinner and overnight.
Day Sixteen – Saturday – Reserve Edeni / Johannesburg
Photo safari in the early morning. Breakfast and transfer by road to Johannesburg International Airport.. Dinner and overnight on board.
